The Farmhouse
The farmhouse “Tra..monti e vigne” was founded about 50 years ago and was run from the Borgogno family. For many years they have worked hard and with passion among hazel groves, vineyards and fields of the hills of La Morra.
In the last 10 years the farm has specialized in the cultivation of vines.
Nowadays it owns about 35 acres of land, divided between hazel groves and vineyards; the vineyards are cultivated with Nebbiolo, Nebbiolo for Barolo, Dolcetto and Barbera.
The farmhouse doesn’t make wine with the obtained grapes, but it sells them to local winemakers which can use their experience to produce wines with high quality, respecting tradition and taste.
From March to November Massimo, with a big help of his uncle Gino, looks after the vineyards from the pruning to the cleaning of the plant. The vine needs continuously attention till the harvesting time, which takes place in autumn with the help of the whole family and some friends. This is the most important moment of the life of the vines.
In each glass of wine you will find the maturity, the passion and the importance of every single grape, ripen day by day under the warm sun of the Langhe.
