Nowadays La Morra is a quite rich village thanks to the value of its “red gold”, the Barolo wine, on which the village bases its economy.
La Morra belongs to the “Strada del Barolo e grandi vini di Langa” (Barolo and Great Wines of the Langhe Trail) and to the “Unione di comuni delle Colline di Langa e del Barolo”, a union which draws together the municipalities of:
Barolo, Castiglione Falletto, Dogliani, Grinzane Cavour, Monchiero, Monforte d’Alba, Montelupo Albese, Novello, Roddi, Roddino, Rodello, Serralunga d’Alba, Sinio, Verduno and Diano d'Alba.
In 9 of these municipalities Barolo DOCG is produced, while in every one Barbera d’Alba, Nebbiolo d’Alba, Dolcetto d’Alba, Dolcetto di Dogliani and Moscato d’Asti are produced.
It is important to not forget the Verduno Pelaverga wine, produced in Verduno.

  HOW TO REACH US

It’s very easy to reach La Morra:

BY CAR
From Turin (about 60 km), from Savona (about 90 km), from Genoa (about 150 km)
From the motorway A6 (Turin-Savona) we suggest the new exit Marene-Cherasco; after the exit, continue to drive on the motorway up to the castle of Cherasco. When you leave the motorway, take the third exit of the roundabout, direction La Morra (about 7 km).
From Milan (about 160 km)
From the motorway A21 (Piacenza-Torino) we suggest the exit Asti-est; then go on the new motorway up to Alba. Once you reach Alba, go straight on to the orbital road, direction Barolo-La Morra.
